Scheduling & Intake Specialist

About the Role

Residential Youth Care’s Scheduling & Intake Specialist is responsible for providing support and linkage to adolescents in residential treatment programs and RYC services, and their families. This position is part of the Case Management team, who are responsible for documentation and case coordination/ maintenance. They are an integral part of our client's treatment teams and work towards  RYC's mission to advocate for and foster the safety and well-being of youth at risk and their families so they may lead productive lives.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

Major Areas of Responsibility Include:

  • Speak with customers over the phone in order to schedule, remind, and follow up on appointments

  • Email reminders to customers or clients when appropriate

  • Coordinate with outside agencies, parents/ guardians and facilities regarding intake process.

  • Add, cancel, or make changes to appointments in the organization and schedule

  • Perform basic patient intake functions, including the completion and filing of all necessary records

  • Resolve appointment conflicts for staff and customers or clients

  • All other duties as assigned.

 


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 21 years of age or older.

  • Valid Alaska Drivers License

  • Basic knowledge of office equipment and computers, including word processing and email

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

  • Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR and MANDT certification following hire

  • Experience in Behavioral Health, Social Services, or working with Youth (preferred)

Hours Per Week: 40

$20.00-25.00/hr DOE
