Maintenance Staff

About the Role
RYC Maintenance Staff are responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks for all RYC buildings, locations and grounds. Position reports to the Facilities Maintenance Director and assures facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing carpentry, painting, auto repair and maintenance, plumbing, and other related tasks.
Operating a variety of maintenance and cleaning tools, while completing associated duties as needed.
Applying knowledge of methods and techniques for operating, repairing, and maintaining facilities and equipment, as well as understanding occupational hazards and adhering to standard safety practices.
Managing daily maintenance tasks, scheduling routine repairs (monthly, quarterly, seasonal, and annual), and assisting with larger maintenance projects.
Demonstrating excellent customer service skills and fostering positive, effective working relationships.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• 21 years of age+
• Valid Alaska Drivers License and clean driving record
​• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 75 lbs. or heavier with assistance and/ or use of proper equipment.
• Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments with inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Hours Per Week: 40
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with some occasional overtime
Pay Rate: $18.00-22.00/hr
