Ketchikan After School Program Facilitator
Residential Youth Care, Inc. (RYC) has been providing residential behavioral health services to Alaska's youth for more than 25 years. RYC operates based on a philosophy emphasizing a culture of care and the building of therapeutic relationships through the development of positive, supportive, and planned interventions delivered by knowledgeable, empathetic, and skilled staff. The KAP Program Facilitator works directly with youth to provide a safe, responsible, well-supervised after school program while acting as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor. The KAP Program Facilitator must have a genuine interest in the growth, development, and provision of a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for the youth.

Major Areas of Responsibility Include:
- Lead groups of youth in an instructional setting, maintaining high standards for behavior and safety
- Ability to develop and lead age appropriate activities.
- Serve as a positive adult role model for children in the program through appropriate dress, speech, attitude, and courtesy.
- Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging for youth.
- Organize special events, family nights, or outreach efforts to youth, families, parents or other stakeholders.
- Assist with social media outreach, coordination and advertising campaigns.
- Maintain highest degree of confidentiality in staff and member matters.
Primary Objectives:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and well-supervised After School program
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with KGBSD school management, community partners, community providers, and RYC residential staff.
- Establish, maintain, coordinate, facilitate and organize youth parents, families and related events or classes
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years experience in an educational or youth program preferred
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Alaska Drivers License and clean driving record
- Must possess strong computer skills, have the ability to track data and produce reports
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR and MANDT certification, facilitated by RYC, following hire
