Registered Nurse

Position Description:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for:
  • Continuously observes patient behavior, mental status, and activities, documents, and reports pertinent information.
  • Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provide services to the level of licensure.
  • Knowledge of medications, including psychotropic drugs, and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
  • Follows the six (6) medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform crisis intervention and triage.
  • Documentation meets current standards and policies and is completed within the shift worked.
  • Communicates appropriately and clearly to the Medical Director, clinicians, patients, and co-workers.
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health errors.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations.
  • Maintains a good working relationship within the department and with other departments.

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in an inpatient healthcare facility.
  • Current Registered Nurse License
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Alaska Drivers License
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
 
Job Type: Full Time, Exempt
Hours Per Week: 40
Shift: Varies
Salary Pay: $75,000- $95,000 DOE
