The Human Resources Associate will effectively manage HR processes, administer RYC employment practices, and oversee compensation practices and benefit programs. The HR Associate will adhere to all regulatory agency requirements and accrediting body standards: DHSS, COA, etc.
Major Areas of Responsibility Include:
- Working with the HR Director to oversee HR functions including hiring, terminations, advancements, with all associated processes and enrollments.
- Assisting with organizing the staff training schedule and tracking training attendance and hours to ensure employee compliance with RYC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Tracking employee recognition and achievements.
- Communicating with RYC personnel regularly.
- Participating in committee work focused on identifying areas for improvement with staff morale, retention, and recruitment, followed by implementation of determined initiatives.
- Organize and maintain personnel records by keeping past and current records.
- Maintain database of staff including records of qualifications and certifications.
- Assist in developing and administering programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
- Upkeep of all HR related documentation.
- Maintain training documentation along with documentation surrounding interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Lead the implementation of company safety and health programs. Monitors the tracking of OSHA-required data.
- Administer benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, retirement plans, vacation, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, and employee assistance.
- Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation.
- Abide by federal and state regulations, and adhere strictly to agency policy and procedures to meet or exceed licensing, auditing, and accreditation standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional ethics in all practices and procedures.
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 21 years of age or older.
- Valid Alaska Drivers License
- Ability to pass a pre-employment UA and background check
- Must possess strong computer skills, have the ability to track data and produce reports
- Experience securing capital funding preferred
- Grant writing experience preferred
