Custodian
RYC Custodial staff is responsible for performing routine building cleaning and maintenance tasks for all RYC buildings, locations and grounds. Position reports to the Facilities Maintenance Manager. Assures facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, restocking soap and paper supplies, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash receptacles, changing light bulbs, and ensuring proper care of cleaning equipment and supplies and other duties as assigned.

Hours Per Week: 40
Shift: Varies
Salary Pay: $16.00-$19.00/hr DOE

Position Description:
- Able to use a variety of cleaning and maintenance tools and supplies to perform related work as required
- Able to understand and follow standard safety practices
- Able to manage daily maintenance tasks and schedule monthly, quarterly, seasonal and annual deep cleaning, and assist in maintenance projects
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills
- Establish, maintain and foster positive and effective working relationships
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 years of age or older.
- Valid Alaska Drivers License and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 75 lbs. or heavier with assistance and/ or use of proper equipment
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments with inclement weather conditions
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Early mornings and/or evenings along with weekend work may be required
