Behavioral Health Associate - Education Program, Day & Weekend Shift
Residential Youth Care, Inc. (RYC) has been providing residential behavioral health services to Alaska's youth for more than 25 years. RYC operates based on a philosophy emphasizing a culture of care and the building of therapeutic relationships through the development of positive, supportive, and planned interventions delivered by knowledgeable, empathetic, and skilled staff. The Behavioral Health Associate in the Education Program is responsible for working with clients in a school setting to facilitate client growth towards treatment plan goals.
Major Areas of Responsibility Include:
•Ensuring the safety and security of clients
•Monitoring client completion of daily progress notes and treatment goals
•Reporting to the Education Director the client's problem areas and levels of achievement
•Relaying accurate and timely information to individuals within and outside of the organization
Primary Objectives:
•To facilitate client growth towards treatment goals over time
•Establish positive relationships with co-workers and school personnel
•Meet the expectations of the Alaska Core Competencies by receiving consistent feedback from supervision staff
Job Requirements:
•High School Diploma or GED
•21 years of age or older
•Valid Alaska Drivers License
•Basic knowledge of office equipment and computers, including word processing and email
•Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
•Experience in Human Services Field (preferred)
Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Hours Per Week: 40
Shift: Varies
Hourly Pay: $14-18/ HR DOE
